Heather Burton believes the best way to live life is to lift, in some way or another, every person she meets. Finding ways to do that has become a personal mission and seems to be centering, at this point, in helping families enjoy learning and discovering their unique gifts in order to experience more happiness together and spread that good out into the world.

An avid self-educator, Heather has combined her love of learning and her love of being with people--along with formal educational training (B. Ed.—University of Lethbridge; current work on Master’s degree in Education—George Wythe College; and certification as a facilitator with the Arbinger Institute)—to host/design/organize/sponsor numerous events and programs for adults, youth, children and whole families. Her special interest is Leadership Education based on the five elements of classics, mentors, simulations, field experience and God/Truth, a philosophy and approach she has studied, practiced and taught for over ten years. She is a strong proponent of self-leadership and social entrepreneurship. Currently, Heather is the president of the Leadership Education Association of Families and Friends, a non-profit organization devoted to “Growing Great Leaders.”

Her personal motto—“Love it while you live it”—is essential to her most important work in life, creating a loving home with her husband Allan and their nine children. She lives in the Rocky Mountain foothills of southern Alberta with her family, 16 horses, 3 German shepherd dogs, 4 llamas and several chickens.
