Heather feels fortunate to serve within Shinah House in a variety of roles. Formally, she is the Education Advisor to the Board and brings her experience as an educator and Leadership Education mentor. She also enjoys being part of Shinah House teams that develop, implement, and facilitate projects and events.
Heather's background includes earning a B.Ed from the University of Lethbridge, being a Master of Education degree candidate at George Wythe University, and recognition as a Certified Facilitator with The Arbinger Institute.. She is also a member of the Arbinger Coaches Network. Arbinger is an international organization that helps individuals, families, organizations and corporations recognize the roots of conflict and develop lasting, peace-building solutions.
Heather lives on a small ranch in southern Alberta with Allan, six of their nine children, horses, dogs, llamas, and chickens. Her favourite aspect of working with Shinah House is the expanding "community family" that is growing through Shinah House's collaboration with other people and organizations.
